Course info
This is a practical course which will introduce students to floristry skills. It is suited to school leavers and adults who have little or no experience within the industry and are seeking to develop a career in floristry. Working with fresh, preserved and artificial flowers they will learn a range of traditional and contemporary designs, as well as plant and flower care and business skills. Students move on to the ABC Diploma in Flower Design (level 3), a career in retail floristry or to related service industries such as interior design and hotel and event decoration.

How much will it cost?
Free to students aged between 16 - 18 on 31/08/08 and are a UK/EU resident studying on a full time course. Students aged 19 or over or are from outside the EU will pay the full fee which covers tuition, exam and resource fees. Concessions available.

Assessment method
Practical assignment (one per unit) plus a multiple-choice written test at the end of the course.

Entry Requirements
Students need three GCSEs at D or above, or equivalent qualifications. Mature learners with life experience may also be invited for interview.
